For a few weeks now, we have been trying to train Gerald to eat twice a day instead of three times.
As you know, Gerald is an extremely demanding (and vocal!) cat, so it’s taking a lot of willpower and patience to do this. If husband is around, it is easier because Gerald is afraid of him and will “listen”. If I’m alone, habis!

Look at him, size-wise, I think he’s none the worse with two meals a day. He is also a very fussy cat, he only wants raw food and canned. Absolutely no kibble. How fussy is that for a street cat?
And he is still as vocal as before. Very loud and very persistent. In fact, several days ago, he was engaged in a vocal fight (luckily not physical) with another new cat until his voice became hoarse. Luckily, no vet visit was required. His voice is back to normal now and that cat doesn’t seem to come around anymore. Phew…

I have to always feed him first because of his loud and nonstop meowing. The good thing is that after eating a satisfactory meal, there is some peace and quiet.
Gerald is really the most vocal cat I’ve ever come across!
