A case of loose stools

Last week, Juno and one of the Blondies had a bout of loose stools.

For Juno, it’s easy to detect because she uses the litter box inside the house, but for the Blondies, that was a real challenge as there are four of them using the sandpit in the back garden. So I had to resort of scrutinising hours and hours of CCTV footage to try and identify who it was.

I was able to rule out Indra and Samantha. So, it had to be either Kai or Akira.

For cases of loose stools, my go-to home remedy is to use Adored Beast’s Feline Gut Soothe. It has worked so far if it is just a case of loose stools and nothing more serious than that (they were all still very active and had good appetite). I managed to buy a jar and immediately started Juno on it. As for the Blondies, not wanting to take any chances, I put all three girls on it – that’s Kai, Akira and Indra. Samantha is out of the question as she is still a touch-me-not.

Juno recovered very quickly, which was good. Her stools were well-formed the very next day. I also put Juno on Pro-Fiber, which has worked for her previously.

As for the Blondies, that pile of loose stools in that specific spot continued for a few more days. I continue with the Feline Gut Soothe for Kai and Akira (still could not determine exactly who it was).  After five days on it, there was no more loose stools.

What a relief!
