Things have got a little complicated for Rey.
Rey was initially diagnosed with flu so he was given a course of Doxy, Bromhexine and Cetirizine. This course finished today and from my untrained eye, I think he has recovered from the flu. Rey still have some of the balding patches (the Malaseb bath in ongoing), the ear infection (Pyo Clean treatment once a week) and eye infection (Nicol Eyedrop).
Then, I started noticing Rey’s massive urine output so a thorough investigation was conducted and it was found that his bladder wall was inflamed and he has some structure loss in both his kidneys. Rey was prescribed a course of Clavamox and Cystaid Plus. After two days, Rey lost his appetite and vomited twice. I thought it was Cystaid Plus so I stopped that. The vet said I should resume the Cystaid Plus once Rey was better so I did that too. But again, Rey lost his appetite, vomited and this morning, had loose stools. This time the vet advised me to stop the Clavamox and Cystaid Plus and replace the latter with UTI-Oxi (which I had already done on my own). Later, I am not try the Cystaid Plus again.
A first hit on Google:
Clavamox’s primary side effects involve the gastrointestinal tract. Some cats might experience vomiting, diarrhea or appetite loss. Even if the cat doesn’t develop true diarrhea, you might notice that his stools are looser than normal. Your vet might advise you to feed Clavamox with food to minimize stomach problems.
Actually Bunny had the same problem when he had UTI the last time. He was also prescribed Clavamox and Cystaid Plus and I had to stop the Clavamox too as Bunny had constipation. Constipation isn’t one of the known side effects of Clavamox, but Bunny had that.
So, it’s still ongoing for Rey. I hope we can resolve this issue soon. Rey is the only one who isn’t vaccinated yet. They all had their complete baby vaccinations before they were adopted. But the one-year booster lapsed (while they were away) so I now have to redo the two-vaccinations for all of them. Everyone, except Rey, has been given the first dose.
Everyone’s intense hunger is also gone now. They only eat moderate amounts twice a day. They are all actually very comfortable upstairs in the two bedrooms but that’s no way to live. It’s also a bit difficult for me to keep going upstairs to look in on them several times a day.

Rey is on the left. I gave him Hill’s CD this evening. He ate heartily without the need for Mirtazapine.
Perhaps it’s right, Clavamox was the culprit. Maybe even Cystaid Plus. Our cats seem to agree more with Petdiatric’s UTI-Oxi.

Robin is on the right.
