Cleo is our hardest cat to handle.
She has been with us for 15 years 10 months, and yet, I cannot open her mouth to pill her!
But, I can brush her teeth with the wet wipes – go figure! She doesn’t seem to mind that.
I could never do her subcut alone too, but recently and finally, I can, with lots of luck (meaning, if she is in the good mood, she will allow me to do it single-handedly). Yesterday, she even allowed me to change bottles midway. What luck!
Then, if you remember, Cleo had a balding problem at her flanks which lasted for TWELVE years. Yes, that’s twelve years. It never went away and nothing I tried worked. We must have gone to at least four different vets for it, every now and then, but nothing worked. Then sometime last year, the problem decided to go away…for good.
So it’s been gone for good so far. No more balding. Her fur has grown back very nicely.
This post has some photos of her bald spots way back in 2020: https://animalcare.my/2020/05/02/cleos-fashion-statement/
So, with Cleo, it’s all about patience. Incredible patience!

Single-handed subcut with Cleo.
