Why do our males all turn alpha??

I don’t know why, but almost every male cat we’ve had will end up being very alpha even though they were not to begin with.

Now, Gerald was already an alpha so he doesn’t count.

But Creamy is a scaredy cat…

…until today.

Today, Creamy had a voice fight with Gerald.

Since yesterday, Creamy has been announcing his arrivals in the porch, which is a good thing, because otherwise, I wouldn’t know he is there.

Today, there was yowling in the porch and it was between Gerald and Creamy. I had to go out to break up the “fight” by pacifying them with food. So, who won? I’m not sure. It was a voice vote. So whoever is louder wins, I guess!

It looks like Gerald isn’t going back to his street. He has decided to make our porch his home. Well, that’s okay with us. At least he will be safe.

Samantha too is in our porch all the time. But I still cannot catch her.

Hubby thinks she isn’t pregnant. He could be right. But then again, if she is, she would have been impregnated on either 6th Dec by Gerald or 7th Dec by Bushy. So it will only be 16 days and that’s not visible yet.

Her belly never got back to its non-pregnant state since her delivery on 24th Nov.  There is still a bulge, but the vet says it could be just fat.

Only an ultrasound can determine whether she is or not.

But I cannot catch her! She lets me come so, so very close when feeding her, but try catching her and see? You simply can’t! The best I can do is to touch her with my finger tips but even then, she pulls away very quickly.

I might have to try other ways. Maybe the carrier? I cannot lure her into the house as we did with Riley because Riley might escape as it would require for the door to be open.

I do think that Gerald would gladly come into the house! Both he and Creamy allow me to carry them.

Males are so much more easy-going.

But they will fight…with voice votes!
