Samantha defends her territory (fights off pregnant tortie)

Some time last week, a tortoiseshell cat was seen inside our porch. She also looks pregnant.

But it was only once.

Today, the tortie must have come in again, but this time, Samantha defended her territory and gave chase.

There was fierce yowling from the porch to the road, and I got really worried as cars were passing by at that time.

I went out to try to stop the fight, but in vain.

Samantha was fiercely defending the porch and she chased the tortie to under a neighbour’s car and into the drain, three houses up the road.

Kenapa garang sangat, Samantha?

The tortie had gone to hide inside this pipe and Samantha was standing guard only to chase her again the moment she came out.

Sigh…two pregnant cats fighting?

I hope the tortie won’t come again because two cats fighting in a frenzy on the road isn’t good or safe for them.

And where were the boys? Where were Gerald and Creamy?

Nowhere to be found at that time!

And even if they were around, I doubt they would have interfered. Cat fights are usually individual fights. Cats do not operate in packs. Except our Monsters. They operate in a pack. The other day, they surrounded poor Tabs when she went out to the catio. At another time, they also surrounded Cow Mau (not a wise thing to do, boys, not wise at all).
