Sigh….not so well, but I’m certainly not giving up.
So I lined those favourite pee and poo spots with the wee wee pads.
On the first day, they were wary of the wee wee pads so they totally avoided them. Oh goody, I thought. The wee wee pads were absolutely clean and of course the rooms were much cleaner.
So instead of doing it on the wee wee pads, the kittens (I suspect only Indra and Akira are the culprits, I think Kai is already litter-box trained) search for new pee spots. And they found them!
So now I had to contend with new pee spots. On the floor!
By evening, they already knew the wee wee pads are nothing to be afraid of, so they pushed the pads away and still did their pee and poo on the floor where the pads were (but they had pushed them away).
SIGH….
However, at the same time, I have tried to block their pee and poo spots with whatever I could, like boxes and trays.
They love peeing behind the mirror, so I lifted the heavy mirror and placed two trays to block off this area. Let’s see what they will do next.
I already do not have enough litter boxes to go around. There are four of them upstairs and there are already EIGHT litter boxes for them.
However, having said that, I did notice that there seems to be more pee balls in the litter boxes, so I think, hopefully, Indra and/or Akira are learning to use the litter boxes….?
We shall see what happens tomorrow.
