The litter box training programme was going well after I confined all the Blondies into one room with the attached bathroom.
In fact, it was going great. They kittens “knew” they had to do it in the litter boxes.
But they were passing the flu from one to another, back and forth and I had to room Riley in with them because Riley was bullying Hiro.
So I had to open up the other room again so that there is more space and hopefully this would reduce the chances of the flu virus in a merry-go-round.
Opening up the room was clearly asking for trouble as old habits would return, I know. But between litter box training and the flu going around, of course litter box training had to take a back seat.
True enough, the old habits came back.
On the first day, all was well. They were just using the other room as a playroom. But by today, there were urine spots in the old familiar spots again. In both rooms. The ottoman leg was targeted again. Either I will block off these spots if I can find something heavy enough, or start the training all over again after the flu is over.
In any case, I’m just too tired today.

All are eating well. Samantha didn’t have much appetite yesterday as she too had started sneezing. But I managed to sneak in the crushed anti-histamine into her food and her appetite returned to normal today.
Riley has already stopped sneezing. She is only on the anti-histamine.
It is truly a joy seeing them eat and play. I wish the same for Hiro too.
If only…
I know. There is so much suffering in this world. Whoever says it is wonderful world has not managed street animals, especially infant street animals.
