Juno’s nutritional milestones

Juno has achieved two more nutritional milestones as of yesterday!

I saw her stealing a piece of raw chicken meat chunk from Riley and eating it. So I offered her a bowl and voila…she can eat chicken chunks now!

I tried her on it last week but she wasn’t ready yet. Now, she is!

And Juno is also eating Cubgrub’s rabbit now. So, one more protein in Juno’s nutrition list – chicken, quail, duck and now, rabbit. That should do it for protein rotation. I know, I know, poor rabbits…but what to do, cats are obligate carnivores and the rodent is actually a very biologically appropriate food for them. Such is this imperfect world.

We can actually say poor chickens, poor quails, ducks, etc., even poor plants but we living beings need to eat to survive. What an imperfect world with imperfect beings. If only good deeds were our sustenance, right? I could go on….but reality check!

Tabs is on a “as long as you eat” diet since she qualifies for it. Ever since starting on Fortekor, Tabs has gained much better wellbeing, for which I’m grateful. She eats much better already.

There’s one more food that Juno wishes she could have – kibble! When she hears Riley eating it, she comes to the kitchen too. I know that sooner or later, I would have to expose Juno to kibble too, but let’s push it back a bit. The other day she stole some of Riley’s (with my knowledge) and she had liquid stools.
