Smurfy has been refusing to come down this morning because he thinks he’s well enough and doesn’t need his Promax anymore.
But he actually stills needs it because I still see slightly soft stools in the sandpit boxes.
He’s super-duper stubborn.
When he was sick in the past three days, he came down and I was able to give him his medicines. In fact, that was already so miraculous because I expected it to be a much more challenging task, knowing how skittish he is. And yet, maybe he knew he needed help, so he relented. It was even quite easy to feed him the medicines, including the unpalatable Kaolin-Pectin. I could do it single-handedly.
But today? Today was impossible. He’d rather starve and not eat. He just won’t come down.

Everybody is sort of encouraging him…or helping me to get him down.

But it’s a “no” from him. He’d rather starve.

Is Ginger trying to block him to help me?
I even put a bowl of food up on the platform so that even if I don’t get to feed him this Promax, at least he won’t starve. But he’s so stubborn, he just won’t eat.

I’ve been trying for an hour now.
He did finally come down, but the moment I tried to catch him, he jumped back up to the lookout.
I just hope he would at least come down to eat afterwards. I cannot put food down on the floor specially for him, as the rest would eat it up and there would be nothing left for him when he eventually comes down.
Maybe he will relent later. I hope so.
Hopefully he will be hungry enough…
