Easing back into normality

It was great that I could sleep last night, in my own bed!

Three weeks ago, when I was being dosed by the GP clinic with a multitude of strong medicines, I had trouble sleeping. Then, when I was in the hospital being properly treated by the lung specialist, I could finally sleep but the nurses had to keep coming in to check my BP, temperate and O2sat as that was their departmental protocol, so even though I could sleep, they kept waking me up.

Last night, back home was the first night, in what seemed a long time where I can sleep, uninterrupted and blissfully. And I definitely need sleep in order to recover from this bout of severe pneumonia.

This morning, it was back to me feeding the cats again! But husband has “experience” now, so he is able to help me too. This helps a lot.

Then, it’s out for a morning walk. I tested myself if I could go up a slope – I could. The 18-step taiji has saved me from surgery before previously when I needed to detox to get rid of a thyroid lump in my neck. Instead of surgery, the 18-step taiji got my lymphatic system circulating and the lump disappeared in time. So this time, I had been dosed with strong medicines by the GP clinic and I need to detox again. Hopefully, the 18-step taiji will help me again.

The specialist said to “take it easy for a few days”, so I’ll be doing mostly taiji.

Then, it’s back to AnimalCare work. Two applications came in today, but both were incomplete. Old applicants, and their applications were still incomplete.

This is one of the most challenging task of running AnimalCare – dealing with the applicants. We need them to submit a form, but some of them face challenges in filling up forms. I think most of time, it is due to not wanting to read instructions. Now as I sit here, I’m thinking of how to revise our form to make it simpler for them.

Making it simpler for them also means making it simpler for me to process the form! Otherwise, it can become a total nightmare.

Goodnight!
