Little Juno’s weight-gain project and Gerald’s “training”

I’m monitoring Juno’s weight every week and there’s been weight gain. Not as much as I’d like, but it’s on track. She tipped the scales sthis morning at 2.3kg. Maybe she’s just a small-sized cat. By my estimate, I think she should be coming to five months old now, but from her teeth, the vet estimates she could have even passed the 6 month mark by now, almost six-and-a-half months already. Well, we will never know.

Her stools are firm and well-formed now, finally! The Pro-Fibre and our own Feline Gut Soothe (probiotic) helped.

She doesn’t seem to like raw food anymore nowadays and that is something I would respect. She gets Fur/Ball, canned food and kibble as a snack, but she doesn’t like kitten kibble, she only likes the adult version, particularly Monge Adult which she shares with Riley.

Meanwhile, Gerald has started on a new “training” programme now.

I’m training him to eat twice a day instead of whenever he likes, or rather, whenever he yowls. It calls for some discipline (on my part too) and tolerance of his yowling, which I hope extends to the neighbours too. So far, it’s happened for about a week already – a big meal, but only twice a day.

Why am I taking his photo from inside the house? I notice it stops the yowling if I don’t go out to the porch. He wants to talk, talk, talk, but it’s 4.00am in the morning now, Gerald. Most humans are still fast asleep.

He still waits for me to go for my morning walk and I will put him in the park for his own safety. It’s the same routine. And he’ll be talking in the park.

Kenapa banyak sangat cerita, Gerald?

Coming up next, a story from 24 years ago….
