We went down to the guardhouse to see if we could catch a glimpse of Kelly this morning and was pleasantly surprised that she happened to be there!

She was lounging nearby and came to me as I approached. She looks plump and well!

Hello, Kelly!

You look well.

Showing off her scratching post.
It has been months that I haven’t gone down to give her her post-breakfast snack because very often, she would not be there. The guard feeds her with the food that we supply and he told me that she probably has another house nearby that she goes to.
During that time, I was also unwell and then, Ginger and Tabs were at their terminal stage and I had to look after them. I decided to let the guard feed her as it would be unfair for her to depend on me. I was not her primary caregiver. Moreover, cats like routine and predictability, so it was best to let the guards feed her since they are always there. I would just have to ensure there is always enough food supply for her at the guardhouse.
Now, another neighbour and I replenish her food supply every two weeks. We see her occasionally as we drive past the guardhouse and she looks very well.
