How can you say “no” to these faces, right?
Dinner time!
But Bosco is satisfied with what he had for teatime, so he stays where he is.
I’m happy, not greedy…
Raven’s minyak treatment, with organic tumeric powder.
Minyak kuning-ed!
You just got to love this guy.
He thinks he is my bodyguard and follows me everywhere whenever I go outside. And do you know, he has stopped coming inside the house now. I attribute that to my husband’s “training” ala militaire. I don’t know what he did, though, but Bosco obediently stays in the porch now, AND we can open the windows again…phew!
Dinner time for the inside clan (Tiger has finished his food!).
By the way, I couldn’t get anymore OKO Plus (can anyone?), so I have to use WBCL instead. I’ve used it before and it’s actually quite good – it’s made from corn kernel and is biodegradable. The only setback is that it does not clump very well, but odour control is very good. Between the two, my cats prefer OKO Plus. But now, they (and I) have no choice because OKO Plus is out of supply.
I’m thinking of starting a litter box outside for Bosco and Raven. Snow White has developed this habit of poo-ing in our garden…sigh. This morning, we had to pick up NINE clumps of poo so we now have nine spots of dead grass!
I wouldn’t agree with the “clumps faster”, but I totally agree with the “unsurpassed odour control” and “lasts longer” attributes. It definitely lasts much longer than OKO Plus in that it does not disintegrate. And it is completely safe because it is made of corn kernel. No harm even if ingested. It’s not really so pricey because one pack lasts pretty long. OKO Plus is more expensive, actually.
But I know my brood still prefers their OKO Plus!

Thanks! Does it clump?
yes it does clump.

Any shop in Subang I can get it from? I saw an online store that sells it, though.
I’m not sure where in Subang that might have, I’m in TTDI (Dr Susana’s area but further in) haha.
I got mine at Petsmore (pet shop chain) or Ikano, and if i’m not mistaken Winner’s pet plaza which is just outside my place
I’ve checked the Petsmore in Subang. They don’t have it. Thanks all the same!
I think the “clumps faster” and the “last longer” refers to the WBCL green packet (for single or two cats pack). I have been thinking about what makes the corn clump – could it be the starch in the corn that kind of glue together? The packets and ads do not really say what makes the corn bits “clump.” Have been curious. Anyone knows? Or got a theory?
Oh, what is the difference between the green one and mine in terms of ingredients?
I think it’s the same basic ingredients, but maybe they process it a bit different to make the red packet clump faster to make it last longer so that more cats can use it? I still wonder what makes the corn bits clump.
My red pack doesn’t clump well.
I’m not sure how you expect it to clump, but it does not have any “hardening” chemicals to form hard clumps. So the clumps it forms are soft (and break up and easily washed away in water), which is for me a good thing because it indicates that I can dump them into the toilet bowl without worrying it’ll clog my toilet and that it does not cause hardening in the cat’s stomach when digested.
For me, it’s the breaking up that poses a problem because when I scoop up the clumps, it breaks up and I cannot get all of it. It’s sort of “berkecai” back into the litterbox. How do you scoop all of yours up?
Another alternative that I like to use is Feline Fresh which is cheaper than WBCL and clumps naturally (i.e. soft clumps) and so it’s also safe to dump into the toilet bowl. It’s made of pine and have a nice woodsy smell. I buy them when I see them the supermarkets. However, I find that the supply can be inconsistent.
I was looking for Feline Fresh but couldn’t find from the shops here. My cats are pretty fussy over their litter as well.
My cats have used so many types of cat litter since kittens that they are no longer fussy :p
Jaya Jusco and Jaya Grocer (sometimes only and at its Jaya 33) sells Feline Fresh.
The trick to cleaning the litter box is to tilt the box so that the clean bits run off to the sides leaving behind the clumpy parts exposed. Then you scoop up the clumps with a normal spoon (the so called cat-litter scoops are terrible to use – unwieldy too when the clumps are in corners). Then even if the soiled clumps break up, it’s still scoopable and you can see them clearly because the clean bits are at the sides of the box.
I do the “tilting” too but I use the litter-scoop.
Feline Fresh – Purple pack which clumps was my brood’s fav. The green pack does not clump. It’s also flushable, which means no throwing into the garbage. (The flushable part is really as stated, and does not clog the toilet bowl at all)
Over here, the brands for all the cat products i am accustomed to using is not available. I’ve scoured so many huge pet warehouses and shops, and finally found something close…CatLux, clumping and flushable. But not tried and tested yet…Will know when the furkids comes home this Sunday.
Yes, i used Feline Fresh Scoopable too. The biggest pack last for almost 1 month for my brood (10 cats).
