It was like an emergency rescue mission. Babykit came back to Subang Jaya from Sri Kembangan, and I took her straight to the vet’s for a check-up. According to Dr Loh, Babykit is slightly dehydrated, so this more or less confirms that the mum-cat probably did not have much milk left. Babykit is also less active compared to what she (we are only guessing she’s female) on Monday.
The worrying thing is that her stools is the colour of iodine. I asked Dr Vijay and he said at this point in time, we can’t do anything much except to hope Babykit would pull through. She is just too tiny.
So, I came back, armed with four packets of Pets’ Own Milk. Dr Vijay suggested I continue with this milk since they had started with it while she was at the clinic. Better not change to Milcodog though that is the premium brand.
Wiping her little mouth after a feed.
Bobby has helped look after so many kittens, so this is nothing new to him. He’ll be monitoring to make sure I do it right.
Surprisingly, the alphas, Cow and Bunny both approved of Babykit. And Tiger was very curious too. And he too approved. No hissing at all.
Introducing to Indy.
The little one.
Monitoring her weight.
My husband is known to be one with a high body temperature, so it’s ideal for Babykit. He says if she’s female, we should call her “Xiao Li”, that’s Suki’s original name, given by Yen Ling. We’ll see whether she’s a girl or a boy first.
Sleeping most contentedly.
As I’m writing this now, Babykit is on my lap, but fast crawling up my shoulders. Ahh…that’s good. Active again, just after two feeds, and lots of warmth.
We’d like to thank Ramzee for offering his mummy-cat. and of course, many thanks to Mummy-Cat as well for looking after Babykit for more than one day.

Can you hear Papa's heart beat, little darling Xiao Li? Those are beats of love …. live, little one, live ……
I may be wrong but from the pics it looks like little Xiao Li could be a dilute calico and hence female. Suki the second …..
Babykit is a grey tabby – there's the telltale "M" on her forehead. Looks like Wii, Vixey's brother.
