First lesson with Mike Tan today

It was raining this morning, but we had the lesson, nonetheless, and we faced some “teething” problems.

Some people were late (Could I please request everyone to be punctual next time?  No “Malaysian time”, please, unless, of course, there is a valid reason – car break down, pet is sick, earthquake, tidal wave, etc.).  This is free training, so all the more, please respect the trainer and be punctual.

We are going to have a second lesson this coming Saturday.
Venue: Central Park, Bandar Utama (if there is any change, will let you know).
Time: 8am sharp
Date: 5th Dec 09 (Saturday)

If you have to be late for a valid reason, please let Mike know in advance, by email.

Please also note that Mike’s training is aimed primarily at teaching us to understand our dogs better and communicate with them more effectively.  He is training the humans, and not the dogs.  Ultimately, with better understanding, we would know how best to handle our dogs.  Every dog is different, in his/her own peculiar ways.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…

We took shelter at one of the gazebos since it was drizzling.

Instructor, Mike, in action.

Pravinn with newly-adopted Dante.

My 13 year-old Bobby and Terry’s Catarinha.

More explanations.

Yen Ling came with Jack (not in this picture).  She helped us take real pro photos with her sophisticated camera.  We’d like to thank Yen Ling and hubby for bringing and setting up their canopy for us too.  That was so thoughtful!
Here are the pro photos from Yen Ling:

Aishu, the youngest student, from owner, Kavien.
New buddies, Aishu and Socks, our very boisterous gal.
Barley, Li Lian’s newly-adopted dog.
Catarinha caught red-handed, sniffing into Jack’s bag for extra goodies.
Catarinha and Barley saying hello, and Uncle Bobby being nosy.
Dante, ever so sweet.
Dante’s sister, Socks (she needs training!).

Jack, whom Mike says is a good dog.
Catarinha, up close.
A reunion of old friends – Cata and Dante.  Socks is nearby.
The best dressed of the day!
Hmm…interesting…
The oldest and noisiest chap of the day!
You are welcome to join us for the next training with your dog(s), but please write to me personally, and I shall direct you to Mike because he prefers to vet all the potential participants.
And please be punctual.
