Do I do animal rescue work fulltime, some people have written in to ask me. I wish I could, but I don’t have that privilege!
I teach mathematics for a living, so that’s my “official” profession, what I’m trained for. And maybe it’s also good to clarify that I am NOT a veterinarian. The “Dr” in front of my name is a Ph.D “Dr”, and not a medical “Dr”.
That’s me and one of my students, Raymond. No, I’m not THAT short. Raymond’s just incredibly tall! I look rather weather-beaten, don’t I? Hey, it’s no joke teaching calculus to sometimes, almost 50 in a class! But most of the students are wonderful people. Raymond certainly is!
This semester, I teach 22 hours a week. It’s tough work.
And when I’m not teaching or doing rescue work, I am out giving public talks on living a simpler and more spiritual life.
Just yesterday, I was up in Klang, giving a talk on Parents and Children, which I call “Brahmas of My Heart & Apple of my Eye”. So yes, besides animals, I care for humans, too.
I do this every weekend.
Ahh…how to reprimand and praise children? These tips apply to your pets as well. Always throw in something for the animals, yah?
I also gave out copies of Indy Jones. And here’s an autograph session. These wonderful ladies here (along with many other ladies and gentlemen) are the ones who make it possible for all my books to be published for free distribution. They are the sponsors. I only do the writing!
And here’s Kenny Yee, the photographer, and also a keen supporter of animal protection. And no, that’s no aura behind us. Kenny must have put in some special effects! Nope, no aura. Just simple human beings, well-grounded on earth.
