Good morning everyone. Today marks the beginning of a new semester for me, after a one-and-a-half week (extremely needed!) break. And the September semester is a “compressed one”, where the normal 14 weeks is squeezed into 7 weeks. You can pressure-cook your food, but can you pressure-cook learning, especially calculus? I shall not attempt to answer that… I’ll just do my best and hope the students do likewise.
Maxis is supposed to go in for his surgery today. We shall await news, and we are hoping for the best. I’ll visit him after work and will update you on his news.
Have a great day, and do spare a kind and loving thought for the animals.
P.S. It was so, so sweet when this extremely kind lady, Amanda Coffin (who has written to me before), came up to our booth yesterday and asked, “How is your hand?”. I was so touched. Thank you, Amanda. My hand is slightly better, I think. I actually went to see a doctor yesterday before the event, and he said I needed an anti-tetanus jab. So I got one. Ouch, ouch! AND the good news is, this jab will protect me from bites, punture wounds, etc. for THREE years! Good, eh?
