No more bloody urine! (Cow’s Day 3 of FLUTD)

The vet was right! There is no need for antibiotics in male animals who have FLUTD because more often than not, it’s not bacterial in nature but idiopathic. A change in diet is the most highly recommended treatment.

This morning, there was still mildly blood-stained urine on the floor, but when I went into the room, Cow wanted me to know that he was better, so he came to me and sprayed on my leg – the urine was all clear!

Then, he went outside and sprayed some more so that I could see that the urine was clear!

Clever Cow!

Cow is an empath. He has always been the most perceptive cat, especially at identifying when I am sad. He knows and he will always be there for me.

He probably knew I had been so worried about his FLUTD, so he had been trying to comfort me for the past two days, and today, since he has got better, he definitely wanted me to know and how else could he do this than to spray on my leg, right?!!

day 3

He was still straining when squatting to urinate this morning, but at least the urine is all clear now, so that’s definitely an improvement.

He will be on RC SO for a few weeks.

Cow says a big “thank you” to his vet and to everyone who has been rooting for his recovery!
