Kelly’s week
I went down several times this week to feed Kelly and play with her. On some days, she comes up to the junction to wait for me. Luckily, she keeps to the side of the road. She’s still a very playful cat and loves prancing around. I am thankful for every day that she is…

Samantha and her favourite daughter
Samantha and Kai – some things never change! Kai has been her favourite ever since she was born. She’s her first-born from this litter. Akira was second and Indra, third.

Kelly’s week
It’s been quite a week for Kelly. This was Tuesday’s morning snack. Yum, yum… This was Wednesday’s. A nice close-up portrait! This was Thursday’s. The guard said she refused to eat kibble on this morning, but she ate the canned food. By afternoon, I checked and she’s back to eating kibble already. This was Friday’s.…

Weighing the girls
Today, I weighed all the girls except Minnie and Samantha, who are both touch-me-nots. Tabs was 4.0kg. This was after subcut, though. Although weight loss is expected due to her kidney condition, the decrease has been, thankfully, slow. Kai, the eldest of the Blondies, was 4.36kg. Indra, the youngest of the Blondies, tipped the scales…

Kelly’s week
This was on Tuesday. She’s still very playful! This was on Wednesday. I tried pure chicken, she didn’t like it as much as tuna, of course. It rained very heavily on Friday and I didn’t get to go down to the guardhouse. This was on Saturday, back to tuna with chicken. This is this morning,…

Getting Juno to eat more
Juno eats very little. I’ve been trying to get her to eat more. So, whatever she wants, whenever she wants, she is offered food. But she does graze like Riley. It doesn’t help that she is also very picky with food and it’s hard to gauge what she wants to eat for a particular meal.

A change in Akira’s eating habits?
After months and months of trying to get Akira to eat more wet food, has she finally decided she would? In the last two days, Akira has been willing to eat a whole meal of wet food. This would be either Cubgrub (raw balanced meals) or just cut raw chicken. This is huge…for Akira, who…

Kelly’s snacks
Sometimes, when I go down to the guardhouse, Kelly isn’t there. I wait and call out her name, the guard also calls, but I guess she’s fast asleep at the VIP’s house. That’s good too; it means she isn’t hungry. This was her snack on Friday. More chicken than tuna. This was today’s snack. She’s…

On a rainy morning
Akira was with Samantha and they were there for almost six hours this morning! Bonding time for mother and daughter. Tabs with me. We always share a pillow. Tabs gets five-sixths of it, I get whatever triangular space that’s left!

Kelly’s rainy morning
It was raining this morning. I waited until the rain stopped before going down. Kelly was still at the VIP’s house when I reached the guardhouse. The guard had to shake the kibble jar to get her to come out. Before we could finish the whole can, it started raining again, so we had to…

Gerald, the good friend
Late last night, we heard distant mewing by Gerald. It wasn’t from our porch at all, so when we opened the door to check, what do you know? Creamy was at the front door. Normally, we close the wooden door by late evening, so even if Creamy stood there, we would not be able to…

Kelly’s Sunday
This is Kelly’s breakfast this morning. She did not want any kibble. Hopefully, the night guard had given her one round of kibble before he left his shift. The Bengal with the dark blue collar came and disrupted Kelly’s breakfast a few times. Kelly was on the alert and wanted to chase him away. So…

Kelly’s day
Today and tomorrow, the guard is on leave, so I will be feeding Kelly all day. Kelly seemed really hungry this morning. She ate the canned food and then, some kibble too. I had already planned with the daytime guard to get the night guard to leave some kibble in the morning before he finishes…

Riley and Juno’s encounter
Riley and Juno play every night. It starts with an encounter like this, then they will chase each other all over the house. “I’m not involved”, says Tabs. She just watches. Playtime over, Juno? Soon, I might have some difficulty telling Riley and Juno apart if it’s not bright enough! But with Juno eating so,…

Happy Meatless Saturday!
Today’s brunch contains carrot, leek, broccoli & alfalfa sprouts, broccoli stalks, pumpkin, bok choy, gojiberry, konjac rice (it’s dietary fibre) and two Kampung Harvest eggs (unfertilised from happy free-range chickens who are never slaughtered), topped with mushroom seasoning. Have a happy and healthy meatless day, folks. For the animals.
