I got up at 6am this morning, a little fearful of the worst, but was relieved when I came downstairs and little Apache’s eyes were open, and I saw signs of breathing.
My daughter did the night shift last night after I went to bed at 1am.
Apache is still very emaciated. She needs to eat, but in small amounts.
This morning, she was too weak to even move. I carried her out of the carrier, and as you can see in the photo above, her condition is still critical.
She tried to walk a few steps, but fell down again.
I force-fed her with ID, as much as I’m allowed to. It was difficult as her mouth was tightly shut. So I started chanting softly, and after awhile, she opened her mouth and I managed to feed her quite a fair amount.
Apache’s life is hanging by the thread. If you have time, please send her healing prayers and positive thoughts.
The universe will provide an answer that is fair and just, sometimes beyond our understanding.
We can only do our best (but it has to be our best).
And the universe will respond.
P.S. Apache’s rescuer text me very late last night, again, asking me to leave her in the porch of her house. I cannot possibly do that. I have to deliver a public talk this morning, too. When confronted with such a situation, what do you do? I guess you just go by what you feel is right, and just do it. I am not leaving Apache on any porch.

My goodness! Leaving a patient on a PORCH??? I hope you know what you are saying. When you sick, we will leave you in the porch too.
