Ramzee informed me today that the mum-cat actually has either very little milk or almost no milk now. So, what Dr Vijay suspected came true. However, I’ve asked Ramzee to monitor the weight, and Babykit has gained weight.
But this morning, there was a bit of blood in her stools.
In view of all this, and the fact that Ramzee has to syringe-feed Babykit (and he says he is not confident about doing this), we deliberated and it’s best Babykit returns to us as soon as possible.
We are now urgently looking for a fosterer for Babykit. If you can help, please contact me. Of if you have a mother-cat whose litter is about 1 week old, that would be perfect, provided the mother-cat accepts Babykit.
Thank you for helping.

One response to “SOS for Babykit”
Many nursing mothers do accept other kittens even though their kittens are older, it just depends on the mother cat's personality, so if anyone out there has a lactating mother cat with 5 existing kittens or less (the mum cat has 6 teats), please do offer to try to save little BabyKit's desperate life. Only some mother cats reject the young of others, even though her kittens are of the same age.
Please respond to this distress call ASAP! Save a tiny life … some day this kind gesture will be returned to you or your own family ….
Besides milk, BabyKit desperately needs the immunity protection found in a mother cat's milk but is not available in other milk sources.
