Here’s really happy and heart-warming news from Wani:
Guess what? I was so excited to uploads this pics and give them to you. Remember when Bandit came and he didn’t want to share a bowl of food? well since i took the day off to finish my reports i gave them chicken for lunch like you said and they shared bowls. None of them growled at each other so it was so sweet. But last night was actually the sweetest I saw them. I stayed up late to finish my reports and while they were playing, in the middle of it I actually saw Joned stop to lick Bandit’s face clean until it was so wet with saliva. I think Joned is learning to love his new little brother.
Bandit is learning to not be confined in a cage. When I am home i will close the cage. He doesn’t mind that much now. I guess he’s getting used to the house. So when I’m out I will just close the sliding door but leave the cage open. I think by end of this week he won’t need to be confined.
Bandit is also starting to chase my legs. He learned that from Joned I’m sure. He loves the old scratching post so I think I’m getting a new one for them because it’s already bent and scratch up.
Still using newspaper for toilet so what i did was fill the box with newspaper and also a little bit of clay. I think he’s just not used to the clay yet.
Here are the photos:
Joned is a very good big brother. I noticed that he does take care of Bandit even though he’s sometimes a bit rough. The moment Joned wakes up he will go to Bandit’s cage and not food or the litter box like he used to.
I also don’t think he will jump off the balcony. I’ve seen him looking outside out of curiosity but he never got the courage to go. But Joned is usually with him or near him so wherever Joned is, you know Bandit is close by.
I think by this week he should be used to living without the cage.
It is such a great challenge, rehoming a fostered pet. And when your fostered pet gets to go to a safe and loving home, it’s truly a gift from heaven!

Wani, pls do NOT assume either cat will not jump off the balcony. It can and there is always the first time! Especially as both are still kittens and full of play. Up till today, I live to regret my terrible mistake and miscalculation. No, no, no …… also it is safer to leave them in a big spacious cage everytime you are away, even though your house mate may be in. Accidents happen because we do not expect them to happen. I am still traumatised by my own mistakes.
