Children with a heart for the animals
The Subang Jaya Buddhist Association’s Sunday Dhamma School children, under the guidance of their dedicated teachers, started a “Five Sen Coin Collection” project some months back. The intention was to teach the children the value of money and to channel their collection to a charitable cause. I was informed a few weeks back that they…

Updates on Orange the Cat
Shafila Shaifful has been updating me on Orange’s (the Cat) progress at the vet’s. Orange underwent kidney surgery last week and survived. He is now recovering and still boarding at the vet’s. And how is Bunnyphant?
Bunny’s urine actually cleared up the very next day after he was given the medication. His urine was pale yellow (no traces of blood at all) and his urination was normal too. He is still on medication now, and the vet hopes his “recovery” is not just a suppression of the symptoms because of the medicine…

Updates on Maggie the Cat
Maggie the Cat has been discharged from the clinic, but is still not able to eat on her own yet. She seems to be still in pain because she cries when she is touched. Perhaps she needs more time to respond to the medicine. We all knew her surgery was 50:50, and it was very…

Mrs Ng feeds and looks after five stray cats in her neighbourhood. Today, she brought two of them for spaying-neutering at our panel vet under our sponsorship. The female. The male (he’s very shy).
