The long-awaited movie….
If you have not watched but intend to do so, do not read on.
Important: Do NOT leave the cinema the moment the credits come up – there is some more and that’s the last part which is really important. Today, one-third of the audience left and missed this part!
The price of vivisection…
Looking at the amount and extent of cruelty inflicted by humans on animals through the ages, whether it is through vivisection or other forms of cruelty (and this includes eating them), one cannot help but cheer the apes on as they went on a rampage in vengeance.
“Caesar IS home.”
The take-home message for me is what I’ve always believed in – we have absolutely no right to harm the animals for our own benefits, and this includes using them for testing our drugs and products. That is plain bullying. All the animals want is to be left alone in the jungle. We have no right infiltrating into their territory because the earth belongs to them, too.
Compared to the series of 5 movies in the late sixties, this one carries basically the same message, and has a few very touching moments. It is also heart-wrenching at certain scenes.
Go see it, folks.

I made it a point to not watch movies with animals, including those ancient war movies because I always cry. Yeah those horses falling down in war movies also always make me wonder if they were really falling during movie making. Me is stupid like that. LOL.
I know what you mean. I was so upset when the horses drowned in the Ten Commandments, it made me so upset for years (decades?) each time I recalled the scene. I keep telling myself, "No, this is not real, it's all animated. No animal is harmed in the making of this movie" but that doesn't work, right?
But I support the message in Planet of the Apes. I hope humans who are evil to animals and scientists who insist on using animal-testing will watch the show and reflect on what they have been doing. Whether the apes rise or not, whether they take over the world or not is not the question, the question is, is it RIGHT of humans to use them for their own benefits and cause them so much suffering? Retribution will come naturally…it is a the law of Nature at work.
most of the audience now left the cinema when the credits comes out.. mayb they didnt know that MOST of the movie now have the last part which turn out to be very important part being put after the credits. lol
i usually wait until they turn on the lights 😉
Is the last part the airport scene? Did I miss anything else?
And the spread of the yellow lines – did you watch that? For those of us who have watched the old series, we know why….(we know what's coming next!)
