The protest over the perspex and the war of the (feline) world

Ever since Ginger and family migrated into the patio, my inside brood has not been happy. The outside family’s presence has indeed upset, particularly, Cow, Bunny, Indy and Tabs.

So, spraying had intensified and tripled or maybe even quadrupled. Thank goodness the walls are tiled now. Phew, it sure makes cleaning so much easier.

But I had to do something to protect the wooden doors from being destroyed.

So I had these pieces of perspex specially cut to size and we stuck double-sided tape to tape the pieces onto the door. It’s to protect the lower half of the wooden doors.

Tadah!! This is the front door, which we hardly ever close, so one side would be enough.

 This is the back door.

 Both sides.

The cats wondered what on earth we were doing…

You mean I cannot spray on the door anymore?

Er, you’ve not supposed to spray on the doors, Cow…but if you do now, you’ll be spraying onto the perspex.

Even putting up the perspex was quite upsetting for everyone.

And there was massive spraying onto the perspex all day. That’s okay because cleaning the perspex is SO much easier than cleaning the door.

However, last night…a massive Quack-like fight broke out.

Cow picked on poor Cleo and attacked her. The war cries could be heard from perhaps at least two houses away. It was most horrible. We rushed in and saw that Cow had cornered Cleo at the Clubhouse. Luckily, no one was hurt. We broke up the fight and continue watching tv only to hear another big fight minutes later.

This time, it was Bunny and Indy cornering Cow into the rattan trunk!

Sorry the photo is blurry, but that’s what happened.

Bunny and Indy ganged up and forced Cow into the rattan trunk.

 Cow actually went in!

And only came out later, when I “released” him by opening the door a little wider.

Cat politics…You just can’t figure them out, right?

Okay, Quack…oh, sorry, I mean, Cow…what happened just now?

What do you say to a face like this?

The victim is safe and unharmed.

And so, I hope readers will understand why when I say I cannot adopt anymore cats!!

That’s why I had to join you in the spaying and the nutering. Now at last my no is down to 20! Some has gone away, 2 adopted and 2 has gone over the Rainbow bridge (one old age, one not too sure why. We have to be on our toes as one young Turk still wans to be master of the whole colony (sigh). Still our heart soften when they look at us, thats how they pull the strings.

That scene happens in my household too.. though the cries are not loud. Kat likes to deliberately ruin the otherwise peaceful household … by smacking someone unawares… she only likes Pedro and no one else (there were just two of them for some time before the rest came in), then Yasmin and Hope will do what Bunny and Indy did… to tell her off not to bully the rest. Yasmin absolutely dislike Kat for some reason and when she’s near, Kat will cower. 😀

I try to give equal attention to everyone. When I spend more time with them, there is less fighting. If I’m busy for some reason, then someone will just do something. I don’t know if it is deliberate to get my attention, but they will definitely get yelled at Hahaha.

My elephant porcelain (which a friend gave me for Christmas) “died” in one of those small cat fights at home. Soon, i will need to keep all my breakable displays!
