The demand for the Mickey blanket gave me an idea…if a well-known cartoon character is so popular, how about Hello Kitty for kitty fans?
So, while the bidding was going on for Mickey Blankie, I started working on another blanket.
Mum is still working on the frame for the orange Teddy Bear, but meanwhile, we have enough cloth to complete this blanket below so it might just come out before the Teddy blanket.
I thought I’d throw in a little creativity…
The Hello Kitty pieces have to be big enough so that you can see the kitties.
Take a look…
Hello Kitty, anyone?
Mum will be working on the frame and base…..wait for it!
And it’s a neutral purple colour, neither a boy nor girl colour specifically.

OMG! A purple Hello Kitty blanket! This will make people pengsan.
Do you know that there is another famous and much-beloved cat cartoon character? It’s DORAEMON. If you have not been following this character – he is this loveable, ever helpful alien robot blue cat (who has lost his tail) who is best friend to a boy who always gets bullied, cannot do his homework and gets outsmarted all the time by girls. So Doraemon got a special magic pocket where he pulls out all kinds of bizarre wonderful “solutions” to help this boy, and the stories about Doraemon helping the boy are wonderfully crazy, funny, off-tangent and heart-warming.
Hi Chen, Yes, I know Doraemon too! Have to see if we can find Doraemon cloth!
They are hand sewn and not machine sewn?
Hi Diana, Yes, I hand-sewed them. I don’t have a sewing machine and don’t know how to use one! But my mum will top-sew again using the machine.
Can someone enter a bid b4 it is officially up for auction? Missed the final bid for blanket 5 due to an engagement so don’t want to miss the boat again for blanket 6
2020 pls …. for a perfect vision on CNRM !!!
Let’s have a MINION blankie, can?
Hi PC, You are bidding RM2020 for this purple Hello Kitty Blanket? For real? If so, yes, you can – yours will be the first bid then (just like Jasmine Ong’s for Blanket No. 1)! Minion – let’s look for the cloth first!
And the latest craze is the MINIONS. I was looking for the Minions character on cotton and have not been successful. Let me know if you can find them 😀
