Bunny is totally okay with petting and even plays with his claws retracted.
Pole bites when she wants you to stop petting, but it’s just a friendly bite. Cleo does the same.
Don’t touch my head!!
Cow has petting aggression. He loves to be petted but he bites when he wants you to stop, and he bites REAL hard and deeply. Well, he doesn’t know how to tell us to stop, so he bites.
Yesterday, my husband was furminating Cow and Cow was clearly enjoying it, but suddenly with absolutely no warning, Cow bit his hand and it was REAL hard. Husband did not see a doctor as he had to go to work. After a few hours at work, the hand swelled and he found he could not even write with the hand anymore (it was his right hand). By evening, he was already feverish, so he quickly saw a doctor, took some antibiotics, and he was okay after that.
Never take cat bites lightly. Always see a doctor for treatment…asap!

One of my cats used to bite or scratch when she gets over-excited or when she wants me to stop. It took many years to figure it out and needless to say she did not know how to manja, but I know she wanted to, just that she couldn’t work it out. Then she’ll feel remorse for causing me harm.
I decided to try to teach her another way to tell me what she wants – by showing her that humans are stupid and they rely on vocal noises to tell a message. So whenever she jumps on my lap, I’ll pat and stroke her until she makes a noise – any noise – I’ll immediately stop. And when she makes another noise, I’ll begin the patting again. Repeat every time until she gets it. Eventually she got the idea that she can use her voice like an on/off switch. Once she got it, our relationship became so much more manja. She became more confident that she is in control and so she lets me pat and stroke her longer. She now loves to lap nap. Snuggles more too. Just this simple feeling that she is in control of the communication turned her into the sweetest cat ever.
Oh my! cow look fluffy and cuddly but he’s dangerous >.<.
my cat Max is a little like Cow. She wants me to stroke her but will bite me if I stroke her wrongly or if I do something else while stroking her. And she really bites, not the playful kind. I know she wants to be manja but just doesn’t know how to convey her feelings. Now I will stroke her slowly and be prepared for any signs she wants me to stop, kinda like Chen’s technique 😛
