My mum procured some very interesting (and cute!) fabric and her friend from Ipoh says these little hanging toys are a great hit among the youths in Perak.
So, mum made one sample to let me publish here to see if anyone would like to order (100% of your funds will be channeled to the animals immediately). Fabric and workmanship are donated by mum, as always.
Take a look:
I am Chief Orange.
It’s a hanging toy.

We have many types of owls…
Grumpy
Surprised
Annoyed
Nerdy
Study-Nut
Cool
It’s RM5 each (by donation) – makes nice little gifts for the young at heart!
Thanks to Pooi Ling and Yen Ling’s ingenious ideas, we now have four options for you:
1. As a hanging toy (the filling is kapok).
2. As a cat toy (the filling is kapok and silvervine aka cat-crazy powder).
3. As an empty pouch (for coins, pot pourri, etc.)

Attach it to a plastic stick with string and it becomes a cat teaser.
Brilliant idea, thanks Pooi Ling!
Very nice! May I know what is inside the pouch (re:sample pictures)? Is it cloth or dried flowers inside?
Yen Ling, you are a genius! I will update the post with your ideas. Thank you so much!
I have a few friends who love owls. Pls do lets know how I can order these cute handiwork.
Mindy, please see the updated post again. I have added details. Thank you so much!
Sew them onto nice fabrics to make owl theme scarves. Sew them onto boring ties. Me thinks geeky owl tied will do very well for young male geeks.
Great ideas too – but does anyone wear scarves these days? I mean, apart from the tudung.
