Here’s another blanket, ordered by Ms Ong, who also ordered tshirts from us. We wish to thank Ms Ong very much for her kind support and her RM200 donation for “any blanket”.
This is a classic 9-patch blanket, which I had a lot of fun sewing.

This is a classic patchwork, as patchy as it gets!
We prefer to work with squares and rectangles because we can align the grain of the cloth. This design is made with motifs of 9 pieces of 5 inch squares sewn together from random pieces of cloth. My mum passed me these 9 patches and to make it more interesting, I cut up the 9 patch, re-orientate them and sewed them back together again. There are many possible combinations.
Yes, it’s really fun! It’s quite mathematical.

All the cats love this blanket. It must be the cotton cloth being so comfortable.

The chief supervisor!
My mum and I both sewed the top, and my mum sewed the backing for this blanket. All the cloth for the top is from our own collection. The backing cloth is contributed by Agnes Cheong.

Very nice !
now who said patchy patch doesn’t appeal? classic sells
We were lucky Ms Ong said “any blanket” (she had no preference of colour or design), so we had the opportunity to do any blanket we liked. She hasn’t seen the blanket yet. We will be posting it tomorrow. Hope she likes it!
