Rosie (Day 18)

Today has not been a good day.

Rosie ate breakfast this morning, but after that, she spent the whole day hiding under the bed, smack right in the middle so that nobody could catch her.

She wasn’t interested in food either.

Just managed to feed her her medicines and supplements, and force-fed her in-between meals. I closed up all the windows, opened the bedroom door wide and still, she refused to budge.

By evening, we managed to (forcibly) catch her from under the bed and we brought her downstairs.

She seemed much happier being downstairs.

(Yes, patiently waiting for the stainless steel netting to be installed.)

Luckily these arrived today – the liquid food (cat treats).

Rosie liked these the other day, so I used it to force-feed her meds as well as all her small meals.

We prepared a safe house for her upstairs, but she prefers this one.

As well as this other one.

And she also wants to sit back in her litter box.

On a brighter note, Rosie was able to defecate today, all on her own, without Lactulose.

It’s just that she seemed down and wasn’t interested in food.

I’ve arranged for an acupuncture session for Rosie this Friday.

i guess Rosie so used to roam outside the house and she might have missed the good old days 🙂

Absolutely right, Mei Jenny. She wants so much to go out. Yet, we cannot allow it because there’s no telling if she would come back. She doesn’t like the car rides to the vet and the medicines.
