This reminds me of Cow, Bunny and Tiger, who acted as guide-cats when Bobby (our dog) became blind. Cow’s daily duty was to take Bobby to his food bowl while Bunny and Tiger accompanied Bobby when he walked so that Bobby would not bump into any furniture. They used their bodies as shields to protect Bobby (in his last few years of life).
Such remarkable furry bonds!

Bobby would only eat if Cow took him to his bowl. Cow did this dutifully, even when he (Cow) was sick.

Bunny shielded Bobby from bumping into the furniture by using his own body was buffer.

Tiger did the same too.
Bobby brought them all up, since they were first rescued as kittens.

With tiny Cow, Bunny and Pole.

With little Tiger.
Cow, Bunny and Pole bullied Tiger, so Bobby took him under his “wing”.
Indeed, gratitude is the fairest blossom of the soul.
Bobby fostered many, many rescued kittens.
Animals are lovely, uncomplicated beings, capable of exercising all good values.
They are so deserving of our highest love, care and respect.
