My loyal unpaid nurses

It was impossible to keep Tabs and Riley away from me.  Both wanted to be nearby. So I wore a mask.

Juno had been exiled (most happily) to Bunny’s Place. The little one doesn’t know much, she just loves to play.

Mycoplasma infection, as the doctor has said, really tires you out. I slept all of yesterday and today again, from the first drip after reaching home to the second. That too, because husband woke me up from home to take me to the clinic for the second drip. Otherwise, I could have slept on. It’s just so, so tiring.

My loyal unpaid nurses!  Imagine if all 15 cats had access to the house…there would be 15 cats on my bed!!

One thing very good about Creamy is that he will come very early, but keeps silent. There was once he came at 2.30pm and waited until 5.30pm for his dinner, without making a sound.

Creamy eats the healthiest food amongst our 15 cats. He only eats raw and will not be canned or kibble. Maybe he gets that at home.

Creamy’s owner also said that Abu (that’s his name back home) is such a good cat. He is quiet, calm and doesn’t “give any trouble”. He even goes across the road from his house to a grassy area to poop and pee.

Time for my second drip this evening. Each drip session lasts 1.5 hours.

Thank you so much to everyone who has wished me well. I felt so much better after the drip. It is sodium chloride with IV medication for cough, phlegm and antibiotics for the mycoplasma. The doctor explained that she had already given me the first line treatment with oral antibiotics (azithromycin) but that did not work. The second line is another oral antibiotic and the third line is IV-antibiotics which I opted for. Might as well go for the Ferari, right? After the twice per day drip for three days, I will be on oral antibiotics.

Nasty thing, this mycoplasma infection. But I read that some can overcome it themselves too, without treatment. But some can become pretty bad. The doctor says in some cases, it takes weeks or even months before it manifests. So maybe it’s been hiding in my body waiting for a chance to rear its ugly head during an immune-compromised moment?

By the time we arrived home from after the drip, Creamy had long sapu habis his food. Gerald had returned.

This is Gerald’s preferred “home”, in our shoe bench. He prefers this to being confined in the house.

To each their own, right? What is heavenly for us may not be so for others.
