Happy Meatless Sunday!

Okay, what’s in this for today?

Organic red lentils, garlic, organic cauliflower, organic broccoli, organic pumpkin, organic tomato, organic gojiberry, organic spinach and our own homegrown moringa leaves (yes, 100% organic)! Yes, we have two moringa trees in our garden now.

It’s a “semua taruh” kind of Mediterranean meal. One of the good things I inherited from my father (amongst many other more important traits and values) is to be not fussy about food. My father never (yes, NEVER) needed tasty food. He didn’t cook, but he would just eat whatever that’s served without any complaints. He never went all out (like drive distances) just to eat tasty food. He ate to live, he didn’t live to eat. That’s one thing I inherited from him, but I have gone one step further now – I insist on eating healthy food, as far as I can!

So, while my dish up there in the photo may not look too appetising, I can assure you that it’s pretty healthy.

The benefits of lentils: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/health-benefits-of-lentils

Lentils are high in protein, fibre and many other nutrients, but it also has carbohydrates, so use it only moderately if you are on a low-carb diet.

And I add jackfruit powder, organic broccoli and alfalfa sprouts and miso paste for taste.

Bon Appetit!

Have a happy and healthy meatless day, folks. For the animals.
