If you have been with us in 2018, you might remember this: https://animalcare.my/2018/09/15/stretch-therapy/
Back in early 2018, I had excruciating lower back pain for many months. I think it resulted from years of bending forwards to clean the cat’s urine from the floor. I have had bad knees since my late forties, so squatting is very difficult for me. Hence, I bend forwards which I know, is really bad.
But I had no choice, the cat urine has to be cleaned up, and our males are all super alpha, so they spray.
After burning money going to several chiropractors with no success (but lots of pain!), an orthopaedic surgeon identified the cause (tight muscles) and a friend recommended Stretch Therapy which solved the back pain with simple enough exercises!
This is one of them, the “mini cobra”, not even the full one. It’s amazing how simple exercises can do wonders! No gain without pain? Not necessarily so.
That’s Heidi and me in 2018 and here’s Jayden and his toy baby cow!
Sometimes, we have to do all kinds of things for our pets and the animals under our care. But we would have to look after ourselves too, because if we are injured or fall ill, there will be no one to look after them.
