  • Sweetie goes to Meiji’s farm

We’d like to express our deepest appreciation to Dayani Chin and her husband, Purna, and also their dog, Mitra, for having fostered Sweetie for so long.  Sweetie looks so much prettier and healthier now, compared to the time she had just recovered from tick fever and TVT after she was rescued from the Klang Dog…

  • Clariss goes home!

Flashback: http://animalcare.my/2010/05/emergency-accident-case-sos.html Clariss was an accident victim, brought in by Mas two weeks ago, with a fractured jaw and broken skull.  Her condition looked very critical at that time, but thanks to the vets, she went through surgery and her injuries healed in time.  She also had secondary infections and was treated with antibiotics.  Finally,…

  • The plight of two poor newborn kittens

Julie Pek has requested that I put up her recent experience to emphasise the importance of the spaying-neutering of stray animals.  On 18th Tue – I reached home at 10.45pm . There was a bad bad jam in KL due to heavy downpour.Upon reaching home, I heard meowing of little kittens very loud. I took…

  • Blackie needs a home

ADOPTED!! Blackie was taken in by some foreign workers as a guard-dog but abandoned soon after.  The guards at Mandy’s housing area noticed him and started feeding him out of sympathy when he took shelter near their guardhouse.  Here’s Mandy’s account: The guards at my housing area saw the black dog and started feeding him and…

  • Updates on Clariss

I went to check in on Clariss today.  She is already eating on her own now, and this is really good news.  However, there has been some swelling on her face due to the damage to the many tubings in that area.  A lot of pus has been removed already, and she is now on…

Another one of Maria’s female cats have been spayed under our sponsorship today.  Many thanks to Agnes for her help in transporting the cat to the vet’s.  Maria is a cat-feeder in Brickfields.  Maria says this is the last cat to be spayed in the colony at the moment.  The rest have all been spayed…

  • More pictures of Peanut and Butter

So, it’s confirmed – Butter IS a girl!  How silly of me to have been duped for so long.  Guess I was concentrating so much on getting them well and healthy, I did not bother much about checking their gender. Here are some updates and photos from Effi: I fed them steamed chicken yesterday &…

  • Butter is a girl?

Oh no….not again!  Can three vets get it wrong?  Three vets checked and told me that Butter is a boy, but now Wani text me to say that Butter is a girl! Well, we got Princess wrong – he turned out to be a “Prince” instead.  And now, Butter is a girl?  Well, I do…

  • Peanut & Butter at Effi’s

I’m always guilty of being a little paranoid whenever any of my fostered kittens are newly adopted.  I hope the adopters would understand that I just want to make sure they are adjusting well to their new environment, so, I’ll usually like to know if they are eating, pee-ing and poo-ing, etc.  Yesterday, Peanut &…

  • Clariss’ updates

I visited Clariss today, and the good news is that she ate a bit of food all by herself.  The vet is confident that at the rate she is progressing, she ought to be able to eat more in the next few days.  Then, the drip can be taken off and Clariss can be discharged.

  • Peanut & Butter at their new home

This morning, I fed Peanut & Butter their usual breakfast treat of steamed chicken, which they will always finish….very quickly. Then, the usual routine is, Butter will rush out to the kitchen to see if Bobby has any left-overs, and Bobby will always move aside to let Butter have some. That’s my son, Jia-Wen, saying…
