  • Peanut & Butter’s last night with me

If all goes well tomorrow, Peanut and Butter will be going to their new home.  Effi Herawaty will be coming to view them and hopefully, take them home.  It is always very hard to part, especially when they have been with me for 10 weeks now.  This is more so for these two because we…

  • Adopters needed for the three heroes

The three Selayang puppy-survivors are looking for homes.  They have been at the vet’s for 3 months now, and they are definitely fit enough to be adopted.  All three are on normal diet now and do not display any signs of distemper or any illnesses.  Here they are: Forrest is fast outgrowing his cage.  The…

  • Updates on Clariss

I dropped in to visit Clariss, and according to the vet, she is responding to the treatment.  Her urine is also clear now, which indicates that she is probably no longer jaundiced.  She is also not pale. Here’s the brave little girl. I was initially worried my presence might stress her as I am a…

To all those who are praying for Clariss’ recovery, here’s the latest from Mas: A second misfortune has hit dear Clariss – right after the procedure to rectify her broken jaw, her blood plunged indicating that she has suddenly been hit by a blood parasite. • Clariss, after her jaw surgery today

I visited Clariss today, and it was just minutes after the surgery on her jaw.  If you remember, her jaw was broken so it had to be sutured with steel thread.  She was still sedated when I saw her. I spoke to one of the vets, and he said Clariss ate well when being force-fed yesterday,…

  • Get well soon, Clariss…

Here’s Mas’ updates on Clariss: Managed a very rushed visit to see Clariss. She immediately arose to her 4 feet and meowed at me in greeting, displaying her joy in seeing me (now who says cats are aloof and selfish and do not love their humans like dogs?). She also licked her lips indicating that…

As we humans celebrate Mother’s Day, allow me to wish all of you out there who have acted as surrogate-mothers to the many kittens, puppies, cats and dogs (and other animals) whom you have nursed as preciously as your own children. Many of the little ones would not have survived out there in the cold…
