If you wish to use the services of Klinik Kembiri (good news)

Dear all rescuers and feeders,

If you wish to use the services of Klinik Kembiri at a special rescue rate, we have Dina Shahab (bless her kind heart!) who has offered us her SNIP rates (RM25 for males cats, RM35 for females cats, but higher if on heat, and PLEASE do not send pregnant cats).

If you go under the SNIP rates and wish for sponsorship from us, please do the following:

1.  Send me, by email, the photos of each cat.
2.  I’ll get you in contact with Dina.
3.  Bring your cats in at the appointed time.  PLEASE be punctual.
4.  Pay the bill yourself.
5.  Post me the ORIGINAL receipt, and I’ll reimburse you through internet banking after I receive the receipt. Photocopy the receipt before posting, unless you have full trust in PosMalaysia.

Klinik Kembiri will spay all cats, pregnant or not.  But we will not reimburse you if any pregnant cat is spayed. Please respect this.

Thank you, Dina, for this very kind offer.

If you could send your cats (or dogs – I’m not sure of the rates, it is definitely cheaper than commercial vets) to Klinik Kembiri, it will save us SO much in costs, and in turn, we can help more animals and more medical cases. Our panels vets won’t have to do so much charity for us, too! And, they can help us more with the complicated medical cases and surgeries.

Thank you.

    Hi,

There are a strays in my neighborhood, I don't mind paying for the bills at this discounted rate, but I need to know if the cats can stay overnight for recovery before releasing them back to the street. There 3 kittens too, not sure how soon they can be spayed? Thanks.

  2. There is no boarding at Klinik Kembiri. You can (1) foster them yourself for a few days, or (2) board them at a private clinic, if you wish. However, boarding at a clinic is not encouraged because the clinic environment is usually not very conducive (there are other sick animals, sometimes with contagious diseases). Fostering them at home isn't so hard. 1 day for males, 3-4 days for females (depending on rate of healing).

  3. Recommended age for spaying:
    Female kittens – 5 months.
    Male kittens – 7 months.

It can even be done earlier, if the vet says it's ok.

Umm…Sorry, I'm phorbia with cats and my family (like most chinese) does not like cats; I have 3 dogs at home too, so it's quite impossible for me to foster them! But, I pity them (especially after following your blogs for some time, I would like to help in any way I can (that Ifeel comfortable as I have limitations with cats! I hope you understand); so, I started feeding a stray mum and my family is not happy about that (she seems scary looking to me! I dare not get close to her; I just leave the food and walk away!); I don't know what to do when she give birth… I think she lost her kitten last time she gave birth. my neighoborhood have about 10-15 strays but I dare not go near them! I don't mind sponsoring the spaying/neutering at this discounted rate but I do not know who could help me to catch them or foster them. the cats residing at the guardhouse should be no problem, I can ask them to catch them and send them for neutering/spaying. I just do what I can… and hope someone else who is more experienced will come forward to assist…

Can I call the vet direct and get the discounted rate as you mentioned? Many thanks!

  5. You can ask the guards to help you. Yes, you can call Klinik Kembiri directly, but I'm not sure what rates you will be given. You can always try.

Mr Krishnan is a kind person. Few years back, when I told him that I have many rescued cats at home and cant afford much, he charged me only RM100/- for 4 cats (2 male, 2 female) for neutering. Please speak to him.

I am so thankful to people who are helping to neuter strays at their own expense. Its very kind of them.
