  • Akira and the “string theory”

The String Theory is a concept in physics. Akira’s “string theory” is a totally different thing and has nothing to do with any one-dimensional object in space! Yesterday, I saw a very long piece of faeces which was very scary-looking as it resembled a reptile without legs. It had a “head” which clearly, was a…

  • Updates from Survivor Shelter

I have not heard from Ms Ong for quite sometime now, so I texted today and learnt that all is going well at Survivor Shelter. Fate is growing up very well and can already be spayed soon. WinWin is also doing very well and responding well to the medication. His last blood PCV was 27%…

  • The beautiful street cats of Istanbul

Where can you find people who are kind to street animals? In our long, long quest in speaking with the authorities if they would just spare the ear-notch street animals from capture and perhaps, start organising campaigns to promote kindness to street animals, we often mention countries where their people are kind to animals. If…

  • Cow Mau’s soft tissue swelling

I was concerned about the “hard” lump above Cow Mau’s neck wound, so I texted the vet to ask if I should take Cow Mau for a check-up. The vet asked for photos. She assured me it’s normal to have such soft tissue swelling and it would take one week to subside. Phew…what a relief.…

  • Cow Mau’s progress (the neck wound)

Cow Mau has been exhibiting normal behaviour the whole day. There are no signs of any pain too. The improvement from last night to this morning was amazing. But from this morning until evening (now), it’s just a slight improvement. There is just a remaining hard lump above the wound. The wound itself has totally…

  • Gerald and Misty’s lazy and relaxing afternoon

We went out at 10.45am this morning and came back at around 2.00pm. Gerald and Misty were at the same spot, from the time we left until we came home! Totally relaxed on a lazy afternoon!

We have provided an aid of RM50 for the vaccination of these 2 dogs, Happy and Fei-ma. Their neutering aid is also provided by us (previous post). Updates on all previously-claimed dogs are below.

  • Neutering aid for 2 dogs in Setapak (Loke Siew Fong’s) & Updates

We have provided an aid of RM350 for the neutering of these two dogs, Happy and Fei-ma. Happy’s fee was RM150 (full sponsorship) and Fei-ma’s was RM230 (we provided our maximum aid of RM200). The two dogs are from Setapak, but at different locations. See next post for their vaccination aid as well. Ms Loke…

  • Cow Mau is getting better!

To my untrained eye, Cow Mau is getting better! I’m so glad we didn’t delay treatment and took him to the 24-hour vet hospital last night. The antibiotic jab must have kicked in because the swelling has subsided a lot. Cow Mau has always been and still is our most tahan-lasak (resilient to pain) cat.…

  • Cow Mau to the 24hr vet

We decided not to take the risk to wait until tomorrow morning as the wound is on the neck. From what I know of puncture wounds, the antibiotic treatment has to start as soon as possible to prevent pus formation. Also, he wasn’t eating at all, which was worrying. So at 8.30pm, we took Cow…

  • Cow Mau’s neck wound

I was out today and when I came home, husband said there was a war cry between Indy, Cow Mau and the Monsters but it only lasted a few seconds. By the time he went out to check, he only saw Cow Mau and Indy, fur all fluffed up, walking heroically back to Bunny’s Place.…

  • A meeting with Saudara Zayd Shaukat and MUDA Subang Jaya

Today I had the great opportunity of meeting up with Saudara Zayd Shaukat and En Adam Chuah from MUDA Subang Jaya. Even before the elections, Saudara Zayd had said he was interested in doing something for the street animals in Subang Jaya. One of the items on his manifesto was to implement TNRM, actually. But…

  • A porch feeding session with Ryan and Jayden

The boys joined me in feeding Gerald and Misty at the porch this evening. After that, Gerald and Misty joined the boys at the playground! Happiness is found in the simple daily rituals in life. But something challenging happened in between the feeding episode and the playground episode today – Riley sneaked out of the…

  • A brave new world

Good morning, Blondies! Today, the Blondies decided to explore a brave new world….out to Ginger’s Catio. Of course they have been there before, but each trip is a new adventure for them. With new challenges. This is Kai, followed closely by Uncle Indy. A bullying attempt by Rey. That’s Akira. Indra must have had a…
