Something made me go out to look and there he was, this dog standing in the pouring rain, opposite our house, looking right at me.
Poor thing, that’s usually a call for help. So I took an umbrella and went out to the dog. He wanted to come to me, but then he decided not to. The rain was very heavy and this must be a lost pet. He was actually running around in the rain. I told him to get on home, just go home.
I could not bring him back to our porch because Gerald and Misty were there.
He finally did go towards one of the roads. I came back, did a whatsapp post and asked a kind neighbour to post it to the group. Remember I’ve already left this animal-unfriendly chat group during the fireworks dispute. As expected, I asked the neighbour if anybody responded. Nobody did.
But after a few minutes, the dog was not in the park anymore. I hope he has gone home. I don’t recognise this dog, though. But from his behaviour, he must be a lost pet. No street dog would just stand in the pouring rain like he did.
