  • Updates on Wendy

One of our volunteers visited Wendy today, and tried to feed her some chicken essence by syringe but she refused to swallow.  Meanwhile, she is still on drips.  Compared to that critical day, she is “slightly” better.  We can only hope now that she will decide to fight on.

  • Trevor’s updates on Wendy

Trevor went to visit and reiki-heal Wendy this afternoon.  According to Trevor, Wendy is better today, but she still lacks the human touch, and needs a lot of love and care to feel she is wanted.  We have a few regular visitors and I know they will transmit positive vibrations to Wendy.  Trevor says the…

  • Updates on Wendy

This is a quick update on Wendy.  One of our volunteers visited today and said she seemed to be slightly more alert today.  It’s hard to tell, because different people visit at different times.  But whatever it is, we are hoping for the best. Wani of MDDB has advised that we syringe in liquid food…

  • Appealing for your understanding (Wendy’s condition)

I refer to last night’s post on Wendy: http://animalcare.my/2010/02/please-send-positive-vibrations-to.html I know I have been appealing for visitors for Wendy because as of last week, we noticed she thrived on receiving the caring human touch, and Trevor said having more people visit would do her a lot of good.We thank you for visiting, but we’ve just…

  • Please send positive vibrations to Wendy

It is now 9.40pm and Ainey just informed me that the vet at the clinic told her that “many people” visited Wendy today, and some told the vet to put her on drips while some gave instructions to have her euthanised.  So the vet was a bit confused and that is why they rang us…

  • Wendy in a critical condition

I am very, very tired today.  Wendy’s prognosis has not been good since yesterday.  Lydia visited yesterday and told me that Wendy wasn’t eating anymore.  And this morning, Teresa called to say she feels Wendy has more or less given up.  Trevor confirmed this as well and said we should now send her a lot…

  • Roger goes home with Eric!

Today is Roger’s rehoming, and Eric and his wife were supposed to meet me at Healing Rooms at 3pm. We went early, and I took Roger for a walk first so that he would pee and poo.  Roger enjoyed the walk very much. Then we decided to wait outside for Eric to arrive.  It was…

  • Roger will be adopted tomorrow

I almost forgot…this afternoon, Terry and I took a potential adoper, Mr Eric Hong and his wife, to view Russell and Roger.  Eric is a dog-lover, and he is looking to adopt another puppy or dog.  Eric had told me he would like a 1 year-old male, and one who barks.  So I thought Russell…

  • MPK Pound now

I received this from an anonymous person who is very concerned about the condition of the MPK dog pound.  This cut-and-paste is done with no malicious intent to anyone, but merely as public information. Our stand on this matter is to urge the public to help the dogs by bringing food to the pound, helping to…

  • Updates on the MPK puppies

If you remember, we did a 3-day rescue at the MPK dog pound in December.  On 14th Dec, we rescued 12 puppies and handed them over to MDDB.  Here are updates on these puppies from Mandy: After visiting Lucky at Dr.Rajah’s clinic where Lucky is boarding, i went straight to MDDB’s halfway home to check…

  • Cinderella adopted!

We rejoice with MDDB that Cinderella has been adopted! http://malaysiandogsdeservebetter.blogspot.com/2010/01/cindy.html

  • Wendy gets a change of menu today

After visiting Russell, we headed for Puchong to spend time with Wendy. Feeding Wendy the cooked chicken.  She ate most heartily. After her lunch, she lay down, as usual, and I gave her a massage all over.  Then, Ainey snipped her nails.  She allowed this only for her front legs, but when Ainey tried on…

  • Visiting Russell at PAWS

We started our day by visiting Russell at PAWS.  He was very happy to see us.  Here’s Russell polishing the chicken we brought for him.  My, my, he looks so good now, and he seems to have grown, too. He is so strong I could barely hold him down.  We think he’s just so excited because he…

  • Visiting Wendy

After Eva’s examination, Ainey and I disinfected ourselves thoroughly, and off we went up to see Wendy.  Wendy was lying down and seemed a little tired.  There were many pieces of chicken left all over her cage, as though there had been some struggle.  I think someone had come to feed Wendy earlier and had…

  • Jackie is not blind??

Yi Lin rang me this afternoon to say that Chelsea had ripped the plastic containing Jackie’s antifungal medication, so I said I would get her more supplies.  Jackie is the blind dog that we had rescued from the pound.  She had undergone an eye innucleation (the left eye was severely injured and could not be…
