Thank you (on behalf of Super)
On behalf of Super, we’d like to thank Mary Yap and Teo Hong Yee for donating to our Super Fund. Super is an abandoned Cocker Spaniel mix. He was rescued but is in very bad physical health – he is literally skin and bones, and has severe pathological problems. We are helping the rescuer raise…

Very friendly puppies up for adoption – adopted!
I received this from our volunteer, Li Lian: It refers to my posting on the puppies who need homes: http://animalcare.my/2009/09/puppies-need-homes.html Lilian writes: Today I went to have a look at the puppies. I met Christie for a very short while because it started to rain heavily. Due to the rain I was not able to…

It’s green light for the abandoned dog
Today, I contacted the rescuer and she said if we can help fund the poor dog’s medical treatment, she would like to give him a fighting chance. Otherwise, he would be brought back to the shelter to be euthanised. So, we’re on. We are going to give the dog a fighting chance…all the way. If you…

Correcting misconceptions
Good morning, everyone. I have been receiving many, many requests to help animals in need. And I need to correct some misconceptions that some people have. 1. Rani will return them to the alley and continue looking after them…for life. By doing this, we’ve just prevented the births of thousands…

Thank you
We wish to thank our supporter, Dr Veeranoot, for her generous contribution to AnimalCare. We also hope Dr Veeranoot is very happy with Kwanta and Kwanjai. She must be, because she calls them her “daughters”! Indeed, for many of us, our pets ARE our children. How can we love them any other way?

Meet Terry and Milo
Hi everyone. This is Terry Saw holding Milo, the little kitten rescued by the university student, Amelia. Terry wrote to me a few days ago, offering to be a volunteer for AnimalCare. I certainly appreciate his kind gesture, as I have been running around (like a frilled lizard!) doing all this work, mostly all by…

Randy in Kitty Heaven
Dear all, I just called Rani. Randy passed away last night. The poor thing had just grown too weak. It is so sad, but that’s life. I say this all the time – we can only take comfort knowing we tried our best to save him. At least he knew there were people who cared…

The breakfast story continues…
After the first round of breakfast, Tiger comes back for his… Tiger is also afraid of Cow and Bunny, but he is a Gandhi-reborn, so he practises Ahimsa (non-violence). Tiger never fights back. When threatened, he just crouches and closes his eyes (“if I cannot see, it won’t harm me”). And he would avoid potential…
