• Lower back pain “treatment”

If you have been with us in 2018, you might remember this: https://animalcare.my/2018/09/15/stretch-therapy/ Back in early 2018, I had excruciating lower back pain for many months. I think it resulted from years of bending forwards to clean the cat’s urine from the floor. I have had bad knees since my late forties, so squatting is very…

  • Another meat-free one-pot steamed meal

Ever since Jayden started coming, I’ve been making one-pot steamed meals. Preparation time can be as little as a few minutes and steaming time is only about 8-10 minutes and you don’t have to attend to it. Just put it on the stove and put the timer. Just dump everything in and steam. It’s also…

  • Subcut and breakfast at Tiffany’s

Nowadays I get up at 4am every morning so that I don’t have to rush through the morning routine with the cats before Jayden comes over. It reminds me of days gone by when I was doing my postgraduate studies. I would get up at 4am while everyone was still asleep to do all my…

  • Feeding the cats while carrying a baby

The greatest daily challenge is having to feed our six geriatric and extremely fussy cats while carrying Jayden. I’ve tried to time Jayden to take a nap nearing the cats’ feeding time, but it is often unsuccessful. Jayden sometimes just power naps for 5 mins and that’s that. And when he is up, he wants…
