• The hours that Riley went missing

As I write this, I’m drenched in sweat. I’ve looked all over the house at least three rounds and been up and down the road with a torchlight. Riley was missing. I had noticed that Riley wasn’t around since this evening, but it’s been quite a crazy evening for us. I thought Riley was surely…

  • The solution for the Blondies’ hostile takeover of Indy’s cage

Indy’s cage was taken over by Samantha and the Blondies when I moved them down to Bunny’s Place. We’ve tried various alternatives but nothing else worked. Indy had to take the old shoe rack and this morning, I saw him sleeping at the slippers. So that’s it, I ordered a new cage for Indy. Luckily…

  • All is well with the Blondies after vaccination

The Blondies are as normal as ever after today’s vaccination. Kai and Akira were noticeably tired last month after their first vaccination but not so today. Indra’s completely okay too even though it is her first vaccination. Look at our three calicos! Cleo (deep contrast), Samantha (diluted) and Akira (water coloured!). My husband cannot remember…

  • The Blondies are vaccinated

Today was Kai and Akira’s 2nd vaccination and Indra’s first. Indra’s was delayed last month because she had mild flu. The Blondies are 12 weeks old now and given a clean bill of health! Kai and Indra are both 1.7kg while Akira is 1.4kg (she definitely eats less than her ginger sisters).

  • Medical aid for the 47 dogs in Survivor Shelter

This is a Sponsored Animals in selected shelters initiative. We have helped Ms Ong to purchase 200 tablets of dewormer (Prazitel from RhoneMa) for her 47 dogs at the shelter. Seeing how Cash had hookworm infestation, it would be prudent for Ms Ong to get all her dogs dewormed every 6 months. PrazitelTM  Plus+ tablets are…

  • Happy 17th Birthday, Cow Mau!!!

Cow Mau is 17 years old today!!! It was exactly 17 years ago that I chanced upon Cow, Bunny and Pole huddled up together on the wet grass by the roadside after the rain on 7th May 2006 on my morning walk. When I first saw them, I did not know what to do and…

  • The Blondies’ breakfast and Riley’s problem

Eating with Cow Mau. It is very, very hard to get Riley to eat. She’s so clever in all other areas except in eating. I don’t know if she still has to eat upstairs, but it’s a bit of a problem for me if she insists on eating only upstairs. Riley came to eat with…

  • The Blondies’ morning

I’ll start with last night. This is good. Cow Mau and Cleo still have their bed. The Blondies have not tried to wrestle it from them. But they have taken Indy’s cage and I’m doing something about it. It just needs a bit of time. This morning’s breakfast. The Blondies are eating more now. Poor…
