Misty’s cremains are back with us
Pet Memorial sent Misty’s cremains back to us this morning. We thank them very much for their compassionate service. When I’m ready, Misty’s cremains will be interred back to the earth in our garden, her home. From stardust to stardust, dearest sweet Misty, until the next Big Bang.

Gerald in the evening
Do you know that I have so, so many photo files labelled as “Gerald & Misty”? It’s never Gerald alone or Misty alone, it’s always both names together. And I have a separate folder where I keep memorable photos of each cat, that’s in individual names, but for Gerald and Misty, it’s again, “Gerald &…

How is Gerald doing indoors?
First thing we did was to get the Monsters back to the catio. Last night, Rey must have accidentally stepped on the door handle of Stargate and opened the gate unintentionally (or was it intentional?). This morning, I found the entire Monster clan over in Bunny’s Place. But it was raining so heavily, so I…

Missing Misty so much, orientating Gerald and the return of Creamy
I miss Misty so much. In the last few months, Misty’s daily routine was set. If I didn’t know if she was already in the porch, she would jump up onto the window sill and call me from there. And if she’s not back yet, and I go out to the porch with her food,…

Neutering aid for 3 cats in Kluang, Johor (Yu Bee Kian’s) & Updates
Rain or shine, AnimalCare work goes on. We have provided a full sponsorship of RM400 for the neutering of these 3 cats (2 females and 1 male). Ms Yu is assisted by Mr Cheng Pet Sing in looking after all her cats. Updates of all previously-claimed cats are below.

Orientating Gerald to stay indoors again
I was still in shock all afternoon. Gerald came back in the late afternoon and started mewing in the porch. It was his dinner time and I fed him. Luckily he ate. As I’ve observed, it was always Misty who needed him and not vice-versa, but I am very sure he would miss Misty’s friendship.…

In loving memory of Misty, my loyal bodyguard
It has taken me a whole day and I still have not come to terms with Misty’s sudden departure. But I want to write this tribute to Misty. I think Misty first came to our house in December 2022 or early 2023. I first named her “Trixie” and she wasn’t a regular visitor. Samantha was…

Goodbye, Misty
My greatest fear for all outdoor animals. A car accident. Misty was knocked down by a car from the kindergarten this morning. In my morning walk, I saw Gerald and her at the park, then inside the neighbour’s porch. The next thing I knew before completing my third round was a phonecall from my husband…

New serai plants for the cats!
As much as we’ve scoured the entire park, we could not find Heidi’s grass for the cats anymore. So, the next best would be serai (lemongrass). One pot for Ginger and the Monsters. One for Tabs, Riley and the Blondies! Tabs really likes serai. Happy chewing!

The stars were aligned in Bunny’s Pantry
For the first time ever, all FOUR of the Blondies (including Samantha) came to wait for their breakfast this morning. This has never happened before. Ever. See? Only Akira went off when food was served. Something caught her eye. But I still managed to get her to eat here, despite the uneven surface and the…

Minor chaos in the porch
Because… …Creamy was here. He did not want wet food today, only kibble. Gerald and Misty were both too scared to eat. It took some time to persuade Gerald, who was hiding under the car. Misty was hiding in the neighbour’s roof and that took even more time. Is Creamy such a terrifying cat? But…

Happy Gerald and Misty at the park and up on a tree!
If our human community were a kinder one, all street animals will have this freedom and happiness. Humans are the only animals who think the planet belongs to them and refuse to live and let live. They are also the only animals who are destroying the earth till no end. It’s blurry because Gerald is…

The Blondies’ morning before the rain
Hmm….was it due to the impending rain that the Blondies behaved this morning? Indra and Samantha came for breakfast!! But Indra did not eat much; she scooted off to play without finishing her food. Akira and Kai ate a lot!! I kept adding and they kept eating. Indra finally came back and ate heaps and…

Tabs’ daily hide-and-seek
Tabs is also a fussy eater, but she’s not as bad as the Blondies. My issue with her is the daily hide-and-seek that I have to play in order to catch her for subcut and her morning supplements and again, for supplements in the evening. Sometimes, if I just give up, she will eventually come…
