  • The most important thing: To PLAY!!!!!

Yes, that’s the kittens’ motto: To get out and PLAY!! Every morning, they will ask to be let out of the condo cage and everything else can wait: hunger, toilet, etc. All else take a back seat. Let’s get out and PLAY!!!! They have also cleverly bitten a triangular spy-hole in the curtain right from…

  • E-collar off, all is well

With the e-collar off, all is well. The kittens are with Minnie again. Even Robin has no problems recognising Minnie now! All are good. In fact, the kittens want to suckle again so we have to keep on eye on that! Earlier on, Minnie wouldn’t let them suckle; she would lie on her belly, but…

  • After the spaying, a recognition problem and Lorong Tikus 2

Minnie barely ate on her own yesterday, so I forcefed her. This morning, she also barely ate, so it was forcefeeding again. It could be the pain, the discomfort or the e-collar. I also gave her Vetri DMG, B-Complex, Nutriplus Gel as well as transdermal Tramadol for pain. Other than not wanting to eat by…

  • Minnie is (finally!) spayed and home!

I got up at 5am to feed Minnie this morning so that she would be fasted for 8 hours before her spaying at 2pm today. But as expected, Minnie did not want to eat. She has her primal instincts whereby she has to “hunt” (play) before eating every morning. So, I just force-fed her some…

  • Tabs (the aggressor-defender) vs. Minnie

Tabs vs. Minnie???? Yes, it happened yesterday. And we were shocked. You see, Minnie has been making all this mating noise for close to two weeks (yes, exactly two weeks today) and so, Tabs and Heidi migrated upstairs. In any case, “upstairs” belongs to Tabs. We moved the wooden bench upstairs and Heidi and Tabs…

  • Clever Rey

See? While everyone else is going for the end of the string, Rey goes for the stick! This is Rey. This is Rio. Robin, I think? Lynx, for sure! Our black beauty. He has one white dash below his neck, almost like Vixey.

  • Bunny’s unusual sunbathing spot

That’s the corner of the “toilet” sandpit in Bunny’s Place!!

  • Minnie’s ear-plug treatment

We took Minnie for her follow-up (and last) ear-plug treatment. Minnie was found to have an ear infection last week. Upon examination of her ear wax, it wasn’t ear mites at all. Most likely, a bacterial or viral infection which caused the ear infection as a secondary effect. The treatment was a put a liquid…

  • Like mother, like son

That’s Minnie scaling Stargate2 to try to escape. Rio was actually following, but he fell off halfway up. Luckily he is okay. No injury. We’ve Minnie-proofed Stargate2 (at least, we think we have). Both sides have vertical polycarb installed and on top is another vertical and flimsy (so that she cannot get a foothold) thick…

  • Portrait time (the kittens’)!

I’ve been wanting to take close-up portraits of the kittens before they grow up but when they are awake, they are always actively on the move! Whatever Minnie does, they do too! Okay, portrait photo shoot today! Robin (he has a poodle tail). Rey (he has a whiter face). Lynx, the black beauty. Rio (he…
