Early morning portraits of Ginger and the Monsters!
We nicknamed Minnie’s family “the Monsters” because they are so big! In no way is the nickname meant in a derogatory manner. I have to explain myself because on two occasions, I was told that the cute names I had given our cats were derogatory in the English Language. The first from my first rescued…

Mortzy’s family video!
Joy sent this video today: Look at Simba sleeping so soundly, oblivious to the whole world while Snowflake explores! Mortzy used the litter box on the next day after they settled in at Joy’s, but Joy had to add some soil into the cat litter. Both kittens are male, confirmed by the vet.

Breaking news: Creamy has a nice green collar!!
Haha…!! It IS breaking news for us! Yesterday, when my friend, Soi Chee, was here visiting, we noticed a cream-coloured cat, so similar to Creamy walking on the ledge and this cat has a nice green collar! I remarked, “Hey, is that Creamy?? He has a collar now!!” So I waited, but the cat with…

Dinner at Ginger’s Catio
Everyone insists on separate plates. They have a buffet offering of Cubgrub (raw food), cooked food and Ginger is eating my homecooked soupy meal. He loves soup. The greenish colour is due to the spirulina. Spirulina is of a very dark green so even a little bit will turn the soup very greenish. Robin is…

Juno, Riley, Tabs and the Blondies’ eating stories
As far as possible, I ensure that Tabs, Riley and Juno’s breakfast consists of wet food. This is quite challenging because Riley and Juno are kibble-queens. And both eat very little, so I cannot soak the kibble in water as it will not get eaten up fast enough and it might spoil once it is…

Gerald, oh Gerald
Gerald is okay now. There is no more vomiting. It looks like he was trying to tell me that he longer wants his raw chicken mixed with canned food. He wants it separately. Sapu habis! Sometimes, he will want to come into the house and I’ll certainly let him in. Gerald lepak-ing with his family…

Neutering aid for 1 cat in Batu Caves, KL (Syazwani Syarah bt Shahimi’s) & Updates
We have provided a full sponsorship of RM190 for the neutering of this cat, Lily. (RM150 from AnimalCare and RM40 from Tabs & Juno.) Updates on her previously-claimed cats are below. We noticed the vet had prescribed Stormogyl, Cetirizine and Kaolin Pectin for Lily, so we sought clarification from Ms Syazwani: The medicine was prescribed…

Taking care of ourselves again (the liver)
Hi friends, More information to share with all of you. I went for my pneumoccocal vaccine this evening and was so lucky to get a radiologist in attendance at the clinic. So, vaccination done, and then I asked him if he could interpret my blood test results for me. I learnt quite a few things…

Taking care of ourselves for the sake of our animals (blood glucose and cholesterol)
Allow me to digress every once in a while. This is a follow-up to my eating plan to (1) reduce my blood glucose and (2) reduce my cholesterol (particularly my triglycerides and LDL if ever that’s even possible). Backstory: My blood glucose isn’t really that bad but I hit the prediabetes reading (HbA1c at 5.7)…

Food aid for Mortzy & Family (March 2025)
