• Gerald’s temperature and blood glucose are DOWN!!

Yay!! The vet updated this morning that as of last night, Gerald’s temperature had gone down to 39.5 degrees and the blood glucose had gone down from the initial 19.04 to 11. That’s good news. The vet also said he’s much more alert this morning. The moment I stepped into the clinic, I heard the…

  • Hello, Furby!!

It was on 18th December 2022 that a small kitten wandered into our house compound to seek refuge. We took him in, went for a medical check-up and after that, my dear friend, Maslinda, offered to adopt him. Here are two latest photos of Furby at his loving home! Furby lives with his feline friends…

  • Updates on Gerald

There isn’t much updates except for the fact that there is a high level of glucose detected in Gerald’s urine and he is a bit low on potassium. The vet will start him on a potassium supplement. So, as far as we now know, Gerald’s blood glucose is high and he also has glucosuria (glucose…

  • Gerald is hospitalised (shoulder inflammation, very high temperature)

Gerald didn’t look “too sick”, but as with cats, they always have a very high threshold for pain, so we would never know. We went to the vet’s without an appointment and had to wait for a slot today as all the vets were all fully booked. When our turn finally came (so grateful we…

  • Found Gerald!!!

I have found Gerald!!!!!!! But he is limping and he feels hot. Will be taking him to the vet’s as soon as they open today. This morning, Creamy was sitting atop my car, waiting for breakfast. For a moment there, I thought it was Gerald, but no, it was Creamy. I fed Creamy and asked…

  • Still no sign of Gerald

It’s 4.30pm now and there is still no sign of Gerald. I’ve checked the CCTV in the porch and he was last seen at around 7.34am yesterday morning heading towards the right. This sudden disappearance reminds me of Timmy, also a ginger cat, and also very vocal. Timmy disappeared suddenly one afternoon and he never…

  • Gerald, where are you?

We last saw Gerald yesterday, after breakfast. He ate his breakfast, then my husband saw him casually walk down the road, like he was attracted to some cat sounds in that direction. He looked curious. Not excited, just curious. Then, he did not come back all day and by evening, we went out to look…

  • Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan 2024!

  • Thank you very much (August 2024 donors)

In the past few months, we have heard of cat parks being set up in a few towns by the authorities, and one council is even practising Neuter-and-Return instead of catch-and-kill. These are all good news, and we hope for more good news to come. Slowly and steadily. Meanwhile, we, the little people, will just…

  • Jayden and his best friend, Ginger

    Here are some heart-melting photos!

  • Coco, from 12 years ago (a sharing by Lung Sai Mei)!

It was 12 years ago, that Ms Lung Sai Mei adopted a dog whom we had published for adoption. She named the dog Coco, and Coco is 14 years old now, and still looking so youthful! Coco even has her own raincoat! We are so touched to know that adopted animals are so loved!!

  • Vaccination aid for 2 dogs in Kajang (Lung Sai Mei’s)

We have provided an aid of RM50 for the vaccinations of these 2 dogs, Kelly and Junior. We also provided aid for the spaying of Kelly (please see previous post). According to Ms Lung, Junior’s castration was done last year and subsidised by another organisation.

  • Neutering aid for 1 dog in Kajang (Lung Sai Mei’s)

We have provided an aid of RM200 for the spaying of this female dog, Kelly. Ms Lung is a new applicant, but she had previously sought help to rehome some dogs. We are also providing aid for the vaccination of Kelly and another male dog (please see next post).

  • Neutering aid for 4 dogs in Balakong (Tong Yut Fun’s) & Updates

We have provided a full sponsorship of RM740 for the neutering of these 4 female dogs. (The vet charges are RM180 for 3 of them and RM200 for one more (at a different clinic)). JoTong does her CNRM work with Mr Wong Woi Kan. Mama BTHO’s non-reducible umbilical hernia was treated by JoTong and Uncle…
