• Dog with serious skin infection on his way to recovery

Hi everyone, Its JoTong here. I would like to share my experience in one of my cases in handling a male dog who has serious skin disease. Now he is on his way to recovery after I fed him Cephalexin and Coatex. I first met this male dog in mid April 2023 and when I…

We have provided an aid of RM50 for the vaccination of these 2 male puppies. Updates on Ms Loke’s previously claimed puppies are below. There is a huge communication problem between Ms Loke and us because she can only communicate in Chinese and I can only speak Cantonese. But I try. I have urged her to…

  • The Blondies’ post-spaying conferences

The Blondies had several conferences last night. All three decided unanimously that they will not allowed me to put the cushiony e-collar on them. No way! What e-collar? That’s insulting, they declared. Samantha was with them in the room last night. Big sister Riley came to visit too. All’s well with everyone this morning. They…

  • The Toa Payoh incident (guide-dog at hawker stall)

The news: https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/dogs-are-filthy-woman-upset-that-toa-payoh-hawker-served-customer-who-had-a-guide-dog?fbclid=IwAR0HNFeBE2nx7sFhn0XkqhWGXo4sjXVMnq7TYpnoyVvqeQZ8cwB6d3P6EgE Shame on that woman who complained and kudos to the hawker and his wife! • Kai, Akira and Indra – spayed!

Today was a jittery day for me. No matter how many times I have taken animals for neutering, for every single one, I will be on edge until it’s done and they have awoken from the anaesthesia. Then, there’s the monitoring until the wound completely heals for at least a week, which is a much…

  • Thank you very much (June 2023 donors)

This is the first time ever that there are no neutering claims for cats in an entire month! But we are glad we managed to help 13 dogs. We are still waiting for Selangor state to launch TNRM to replace catch-and-kill. After the survey with promising results from the community, after the forum, we do…

  • Spot Misty in the park!!

Gerald and Misty always follow me for walks and taiji at the park. Try and find Misty in these photos! She is camouflaged! Not to worry, that’s just a ceremonial sabre and fan, for taiji. It cannot hurt anyone. Did you manage to find Misty?

  • Updates on WinWin (from Survivor Shelter)

Ms Ong updated that WinWin’s blood PCV has dropped to 16% this week. WinWin is on Cyclosporin now, instead of steroids. We hope this medication works better for her condition.

  • Tabs and Riley

Tabs and Riley occasionally show signs of friendship! They are often seen together when the house gets too chaotic and both of them will hide at the stair landing. Or, if there is any suspicious noise outside in the porch, they would both investigate together. And sleeping next to me, one on each side. This…

  • Help!! I’m stuck!! (Indra’s little episode)

I was slow in getting my phone, so I didn’t get to take photos of what had happened initially. We heard Indra mewing this morning and it definitely sounded like she was in trouble. First, we ignored it thinking she would be able to settle the problem herself, but then the mewing persisted, so we…

  • Our rural and urban cats

We’ve been transplanting some of our Heliconia from Ginger’s Catio to Bunny’s Place to provide shade to the new platforms. And Indy has been the happiest! Indy is a rural cat! This is a newly-transplanted Heliconia plant so the leaves are still curled up. The plant is “in shock” but with sufficient water, it will…
