• e-Auction (a pre-loved Phillips All-In-One Multi Cooker) for fundraising!

An update: The multi cooker goes to Joy for her “ong” bid of RM388!!  Thank you so much, Joy!!! The original auction post: We haven’t done e-auctions in a long while now, so let’s try it again. The product this time is a pre-loved Phillips all-in-one Multi Cooker (Slow and Pressure cooker). It was bought…

  • All’s well with Cow Mau so far

I got up at 5.00am this morning and Cow Mau was fine. The only thing I realised is that I’d forgotten to keep the back grille open for him last night because the e-collar would have prevented him from going out through the horizontal bars of the grille! We modified the width of our horizontal…

  • Cow wants to eat!

So Cow is really hungry and asked for food! Nowadays, all the cats have supper as well. And because one of Bunny’s trials was to include some kibble in his diet (to bulk up his stools), everybody’s supper is now…kibble. Oh well…never mind. Let them enjoy the treat! The vet said to let Cow have…

  • Cow Mau’s third dental procedure

“If you have anything important to say, please…start at the end!” Cow Mau is okay, dental done and is back home now! Last night, I wrote this: Cow had a dental procedure in March 2019 where two teeth were extracted. At that time, Vincent had just passed away from kidney failure and I decided to…

  • Ryan tries to befriend Cleo

As always, Ryan makes a beeline to Bunny’s Place whenever he visits, which is daily nowadays! So far, Indy is the friendliest one in there. Bunny is okay too. Cow is…well, Cow. But Cleo hasn’t been too friendly lately. And Ryan likes a challenge. He did it with Cow as well, when Cow didn’t “layan”…

  • A Cindy’s “baby food” birthday supper treat for everyone!

I use Cindy’s Recipe’s Original canned food with goat milk (in broth) a lot. I call it Cindy’s baby food because it is meant for kittens and special needs cats. It’s just so versatile. Mostly, it’s excellent for feeding medicines, even for someone as fussy and strong-willed as Queen Cleo. I’m thankful she is willing…

  • Happy 16th Birthday, Cow & Bunny!

Cow, Bunny and Pole were my first-ever rescued pets. Before that, I had not even touched a cat before. We had dogs, but never cats. They were found abandoned by the roadside on a rainy morning and were newborns. My very first time raising newborns, and cats too! They inspired me to rescue street animals…

  • The ongoing trials for Bunny and his chronic constipation

Bunny started on Cisapride on 15th April, which is almost a month ago. I can safely say that yes, Cisapride helps the motility in his intestines and therefore, his constipation problem. But we are still on Lactulose and the extra water. Lately, I also started giving Bunny some kibble with the hope that it would…

  • Ryan gives presents to the cats

Whenever Ryan visits, he will always give a “present” to the cats, in particular, to Cow Mau. The presents can range from tv remote controls, fan remote controls, compasses to his toy cars (anything that Ryan likes, which to me, is really praiseworthy, because that’s the spirit of giving – give something you like). Bravo,…

  • Perky says hi!

We rescued Perky from the pound in 2009 and she almost did not make it. She was neutered in Bentong along with the other dogs at the safehouse over there, but she was bleeding after the vet left, so we brought her back and I pressed on her wound throughout the journey to stop the…

  • A cheat day for the cats

Today’s breakfast was a “cheat day” meal for the cats! It’s all because Bunny had loose stools yesterday, so I gave him Cindy’s Tender Chicken with broth. Of course if Bunny gets, everyone wants it too. So, this morning, everyone had Cindy’s Tender Chicken…what a treat! Bunny, Cow and Cleo had pure Cindy’s while Indy…

  • The fanfare on subcut days

Cleo and Bunny’s subcut days are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (three times a week) because of their kidney insufficiency condition. For Bunny, it’s quite easy and I can do it single-handedly and even change bottles midway. But for Her Royal Cleo-ness….there’s always a bit of a fanfare. When she senses that we are going to…

  • Who has taken your pillow now, Cleo?

Haha… I sewed two new patchwork blankets for the cats yesterday. So I changed Cleo’s pillow cover and guess who has monopolised it! Indy! Look at Cleo’s face!! Cow…no seizure today. That’s four days in a row. Fingers crossed!! No poop from Bunny today as it was raining and I could not take him to…
